Daniel, who is originally from Paris, has had many years of barbering experience. He also opened England's first skin care salon when everybody else said he would fail in 1980. He has since sold it to concentrate on the promotion of his grooming range. Daniel held regular shaving lessons at his Baker Street barber shop. He believes the British male is ready to accept advice on a subject that is traditionally not very macho. "Hair and Skin care are now accepted as part of a man's daily preparation", says Daniel. "It is not just women who spend time at the bathroom mirror." The media is focused on women's problems, but men's interest in themselves is overlooked. There is no one to tell them what products are available, how to get rid of acne or dandruff, what is the correct way to shave, what haircut to have, what shirt goes with which tie, suit, shoes, the list is endless.
